Proximate and liberal, Canada has a lot of advantages for Americans moving into exile. Unfortunately, unless you are very wealthy or politically desperate, Canada is not the easiest place to move to, and it is even more difficult to get citizenship. There is a lot of variability to the living standards in each of the different provinces. Some of them are actively soliciting Americans to relocate.
