Ostensibly Trump is trying so hard to keep Mexicans out of the US that it is inconceivable that Americans want to move there. But despite its social problems and the language difference, Mexico is a popular destination for American exiles, especially for retirees. The largest community of Americans outside of the United States lives in Mexico. The Mexican requirements for living in Mexico on a visa is $2000/mo in income ($2500 per couple), about 400 times the average wage for native Mexicans, but within reach for many Americans.
Here’s the Mexican government’s website for passports and immigration (in Spanish):

Don’t let the Spanish block you–it is relatively easy to get a visa to live in Mexico, and to renew it. At least until Trump builds his wall.
